At the cellular level, detoxing is getting rid of any built-up toxins in the body, and bringing in nutrients that feed and support the cells. To put it sweet and simply, what we put into our body affects the function of our cells, including our gene expression, cell division (whether they are healthy or mutate), as well as hormone function, which means, our health is truly in our hands. Mental and emotional detoxing involves getting rid of anything you no longer need (negativity, bad habits, crutches), or anything that does not serve you (negative people, situations), and bringing in what does. Remember! The mind and the body are very much so connected; therefore the state of your mind WILL affect the detoxing process. Beauty sleep is also a must so that the body can heal, regenerate, and revitalize.
So When And How Do We Detox?
You see it everywhere, seven-day detoxes, twenty-one day detoxes, etc., these are fine, but in reality, if we want to be in complete health, vitality, and prevent disease it’s a daily practice.
