☀️In the lower layers of the skin, squamous and basal skin cells' DNA is mutated by UVA. Some of these mutations may eventually lead to cancer.
A dry face slows the absorption of skin care products and provides a more controlled application of powerful active ingredients for those with sensitive skin. Great for using AHA’s and BHA’s. A damp face (not sopping wet) helps products absorb better and quicker into the skin delivering active ingredients and helping to prevent moisture loss. Apply toner, serum, and then moisturizer directly after shower to prevent transepidermal water loss and seal in moisture.
As a skincare formulator it’s so much fun coming up with new ways to bring the spa home. I found these awesome tubs at my local Publix for under $3, and I added in epsom salts, a few drops of peppermint essential oil, and dried jasmine flowers.
