Organic Chia Preserves Recipe

Organic Chia Preserves Recipe

🌿 Easy, Nourishing Chia Fruit Preserves

These chia preserves are simple, delicious, and packed with nutrition! I always keep organic frozen fruit on hand—especially when I find it on sale. If I have more than I can use fresh, into the freezer it goes! Then I can pull it out anytime for smoothies or quick recipes like this one.

Ā

🄣 Ingredients:

Ā

  • ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • ½ cup fresh or frozen raspberries
(If using frozen, let them thaw on the counter for 15–20 minutes)

  • A pinch of vanilla extract (optional)

  • 1–2 teaspoons of date syrup

  • 2–3 tablespoons of chia seeds

Ā Instructions:

  1. In separate bowls, mash each fruit using a fork or potato masher.
  2. Stir in the date syrup and a touch of vanilla (if using).
  3. Add the chia seeds and mix well.
  4. Let the mixture refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight, to thicken into a jam-like consistency.

šŸ½ļø How to Use:

  • Spread on toast or rice cakes
  • Swirl into oatmeal or yogurt
  • Use as a topping for pancakes or smoothie bowls
  • Or just enjoy a spoonful as-is!

This is one of my favorite ways to reduce food waste and boost fiber, omega-3s, and antioxidants with minimal effort.

In health,

Stefanie xoxo
