About

My professional journey started in 2007 as a yoga instructor and clinical medical assistant. Early on, I discovered the advantages of combining traditional medicine with integrative therapies after encountering my own health difficulties. I realized quickly that I would need to become my own advocate and seek a holistic approach to health and healing.

Pursuing my passion for integrative health, I became a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner in 2011, and in order to deepen my understanding and knowledge, I enrolled in the Doctor of Naturopathy program with Trinity School of Natural Health.

I first became passionate about creating natural skincare products when I was about 16 years old. I had developed a variety of handmade products throughout the years and was ready to take my formulation skills to the next level. In order to address common skin problems and promote healthy, beautiful skin by safeguarding the skin's microbiota, I set out to develop formulas for naturally preserved cold-pressed skincare to deliver hydration and antioxidants to the deepest layers of the skin.

In 2014, life came to a halt as I underwent open heart surgery. Following the procedure, I faced a difficult road to recovery, suffering from depression and severe physical limitations after complications and ending up in ICU. After months of recovery, I was finally able to teach yoga classes again while working in occupational health.

In 2015, on the exact anniversary of my open heart surgery, while performing a yoga photo shoot, my subclavian vein collapsed. I underwent immediate surgery where they removed my first rib to facilitate repairs to my vein, and again, a painful and slow healing process would follow. Once it was manageable, I returned to teaching and my students were once again such a source of inspiration to work through the injuries and limitations. Due to my inability to raise my left arm above 90 degrees, I earned the nickname "one-armed yoga teacher."

Over the next several years, I gained invaluable experience in both the medical and naturopathic fields, working in emergency and occupational health as well as building my own business as a naturopathic consultant with a specialization in the gut-skin microbiomes.

I received my Doctor of Naturopathy diploma in 2018 and passed the board exam given by the American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board. The Hydro-Line with Antioxidants was created in 2019 following years of dedication to skincare formulations and trials.
